Boundary Waters… The Musical?

Well, not quite. But I’d choose this over High School Musical any day: An original drama portraying events leading to the passage of the BWCAW Act, was a noted entry at a History Day competition held at UMD last weekend. “An Environmental Conflict: The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness Compromise.” was produced and performed by Cook County High School freshman Will Brandenburg (no relation to photographer Jim Brandenburg.) In it, he played the roles of various characters in conflict: Representatives Donald Fraser and Jim Oberstar, as well as a resort owner, an environmentalist and a logger.
We’re trying to find video of this; if we do, you’ll be the first to know.
UPDATE: Scratch that. Sadly, no video was shot of the competition. Will, would you ever give an encore?

I can only think of Waiting For Guffman. “Mars . . . where’s that.” Hopefully Mr. Brandenburg gave them a sweet smelling package.
