When shootings occur in urban areas, it's said that the neighborhood is devastated; meaning that those living near the crime scene feel as victims also. But what I can't get away from, is the notion that the BWCA as a place that is precious – even sacred – is itself a victim along with those unfortunate campers. I'm only grateful that at least in my knowledge, this was such an isolated incident. An interesting observation.
