UpNorthica Video: Hudson Bay Bound

hudsonbaybound-featured

Ann Raiho and Natalie Warren both share an appreciation for wilderness tripping to the BWCA. Now they’re paddling a little further.  Check out UpNorthica’s exclusive video. The two young women have made numerous headlines in recent months as they’ve announced their intentions to be the first women to paddle from Fort Snelling (on the Minnesota River), to Hudson Bay. In doing so, they aim to raise funds for their summertime alma mater, Camp Menogyn, as well as inspire women everywhere.

It’s working so far.

Although they launched on their 2,250-mile journey on June 2nd, we had a chance to meet with them a few weeks ago, to film a short video about the adventure. Featuring the beautiful work of filmmaker extraordinaire Alex Horner, here is our portrait of Hudson Bay Bound. Have a look.

As you can tell, the story has just begun. And you can follow along through Ann and Natalie’s blog posts and their interactive trip map (we know *we* will be…)

Our very best wishes to the paddlers; we can’t wait to hear all your stories.
