Digging up paddling information about Minnesota rivers has gotten easier, thanks to new and updated features on Minnesota’s DNR website. They have created an interactive, water-ways trail map that not only provides information on where the trails are, but denotes potential hazzards, watercraft campsites and details about put-in spots (like whether you’ll have to carry your boat or if its accessible by car). Customize your route by choosing a point to point maping feature that provides mileage information. Additionally, canoeists and kayakers can check water levels in real time. When you’ve decided where you’d like to paddle, just print it out.
Sounds handy-dandy to us.
