Congrats to Katie, this weeks winner! Watch for our next super-duper giveaway, Monday.
How ’bout something to keep your drink hot while winter camping? And while we’re at it… how ’bout a hot drink, too?
When we ski and snowshoe in the winter, it’s nice to pause and have something warm to sip on. A hot treat mid-trail keeps our kids going as well.
This week we’re giving away Granite Gear’s Aquatherm insulated water bottle bag. Constructed with durable, Cordura denier fabric, the bag keeps your beverage insulated with half-inch foam and heat-reflective materials. The draw-cord opening with insulated lid will keep heat from escaping. Strap it to your hip belt or to your pack with the hook and loop webbing. All in all, the Aquatherm keeps those fluids hot; whether for drinking, or for serving as your foot-warmer later on at night.
We’re not stopping there, though: Inside the bag, we’re then throwing in a 32-ounce Nalgene bottle… with a few packets of instant hot drinks for good measure.
How to enter for your chance to win.
It’s a cinch. Head on over to Granite Gear’s website and check out some of their other paddling and hiking gear that would make good gifts. There are loads of products designed largely for canoeing, backpacking and tactical. You’ll also find recreational ‘trail toys’ and even accessories for the outdoorsy dog. Then, come back here and write down what caught your interest in the comments area below.
At the end of the week, we’ll announce the winner here, as well as on UpNorthica’s Facebook page. Good luck… and cheers!

The bottle and wrap would go nicely with Granite Gear’s pulk! My old one has seen better days, and it’s about time for another investment!
I would go for the stuff ball or stuff footbal!
kinda got a thing for compression packs….
I keep meaning to score a map case. Why does the USGS refuse to print on waterproof paper?!? It’s doubly frustrating because it’s so tempting to walk the mile over there and pick up some new maps, grrr.
Love these eVent Sil Compression Drysacks. I have a couple of them and really can’t beat their functionality. The material is more like a fabric than your typical dry bag material. It compresses down nicely and keeps my clothes nice and dry. Does it get any better?
I liked seeing the Ultraflight 50. What a great size bag and weight. That stuff football also looked like a nice addition to my trail supplies.
May have to switch over to the event stuff sacs.
Their portage packs have caught my eye….
I’m really hankering for a Granite Gear pulk! Winter wonderland awaits!
Wow “tactical aquatherm” nothing like having a bowl of warm soup on your next call out!
