Some of the most intimate images of the Boundary Waters are on display in Minneapolis.
Well-known photographer, Jim Brandenburg has photos from his series, Chased By The Light, are currently showing at The Bell Museum of Natural History. Brandenburg, who lives near Ely, Minnesota spent a year capturing images of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. What makes the series more amazing is that he limited himself to taking only one photo per day- quite a feat for a world-renown photographer. The 90 images, taken in 1994, show the varied wildlife and scenery that captures the essence of the canoeing destination.
In addition to his photographs from Chased By The Light, on view will be new photographs taken at some of the same locations, years later. His work will be displayed until May 2012.
